Isaac and Ella Bolton of Alabama had seven children over 26 years. The family moved to Hickory (Newton County), Mississippi at some time. One of their daughters, Willa, was a member of the original faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi (then Mississippi Normal College) in 1912, and served as head of the geography department until her retirement in 1958.
